Platinum Lighting is pleased to add this 12 volt dimmer to our
product line. It is a perfect addition to our 12 volt rope lighting and
solves the problem of being able to dim DC voltage lighting.
Available in 8 amp model and has an off/on switch for
lighting control,plus the ability to control the brightness of the lights.
Dimmer is supplied mounted to a standard wall switch plate. This can
easily be attached to a standard electrical box (1-gang outlet box)for
installation, or the dimmer switch can be removed from the wall
switch plate for custom installation. Replaces existing toggle switch
installations.
Has been tested with incandescent lamps inside our 12 volt rope light
with great results. Recommended use on incandescent lamps, and
not recommended for use for electronic appliances or fluorescent
lighting.
Wiring is very easy. The dimmer simply connects in series with the 12
volt Positive (+) lead from the voltage source and the 12 volt Minus (-)
lead. See Diagram.
The 8 amp dimmer can control approximately 96 watts maximum.
