PLATINUM LIGHTING, INC has assembled a safety lighting kit for your boat. 

Inside the kit are 3 ft sections of 12 volt Red, Green and Clear Rope light.

Each section has a 5 foot power cord, connector and end cap.  Each section has been
waterproofed at the connection and end cap and tested before shipment.

The rope light can be attached using ty-wraps to the rail, or you can use mounting track
or mounting clips, available on this web site.

CANOPY LIGHTING

Rope Lighting is the perfect solution to lighting your canopy, tent or other shelter. The versatility of rope light
allows you to light up your structure with ease.  You can use normal 110 volt or for remote sites, you can use
the 12 Volt rope light.  Easily attached with tie wraps, it is out of the way and provides uniform lighting all
around.   You choose the color to get the effect you want.  Remember that LED rope light can also be used
which is longer lasting and lower power draw.

The above photos were taken of an E-Z Up canvas topped shelter, installed over a spa.  As you
can see, it provides adequate increased lighting for the spa area.  Thanks Mike for the use of your
backyard for this demonstration of shelter lighting.

OUTDOOR FOUNTAIN, HIGHLIGHTED WITH 12 VOLT 1/2" ROPE LIGHT FROM PLATINUM LIGHTING

You can duplicate this look for under $60.00 plus freight.  Rob used 30 feet of 12 volt rope lighting,
 with two additional power cords with connectors and two additional end caps.
The Rope Light was cut to length ( can be cut in 6 inch increments),
 and the power cord with connector was assembled.
Rob used GE Silicone II to waterproof the power cord connection as well as the end cap.
He joined all the power cords together and ran them to a landscape transformer that supplies
12 volts AC. The transformer is readily available at home improvement stores in the
landscape lighting department.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Add-a-Tap?    The Add-A-Tap system consists of a length of spt-2 18 gauge wire with a plug on the end.
 and  “Add-A-Taps” that you can place anywhere along that wire to give you a 2-prong outlet!

How are they used? Anywhere you need to provide an outlet in multiple places, you need an Add-A-Tap. If your garage
needs outlets in different places, if you are doing decorations for the  Holidays and want to have one plug and numerous
outlets for the directions where you want them - the Add-A-Tap solves the problem!

How Difficult are they to assemble? Very easy.  The cord has a ribbed and smooth side.  The Add-A-Tap is marked to
indicate  which side goes to the ribbed side.  Simply hold the top part of the Add-A-Tap in place and slide on the bottom
 cover.  If you are in doubt about how to assemble, consult a qualified electrician.

How Many Add-A-Taps can I use on one Wire?  This depends on your electrical service. The outlet you are plugging into
is typically shared with other electrical lamps, appliances etc. on that circuit, so you must keep this in mind.  Adding
additional outlets on that circuit and the items you plug into those new outlets MAY OVERLOAD the circuit. If you have
any doubts about the number you can add, or how to connect the system, consult a qualified electrician.

Is it normal for the wire to NOT lay flat in an Add-A-Tap?  Yes, an Add-A-Tap installed along the wire will enter flat
and come out at an angle.  This is normal - just make sure you are closing the bottom plate as tightly as possible and
it will be okay.
